LIBRARIES

Spink & Thackray has been working with prestigious libraries across the UK for many years, providing these institutions with binding, rebinding, restoration and digitisation services.

Over more than 148 years we have finessed the products we offer to libraries and librarians including our most popular services, library journal binding and book re-binding.

We understand that libraries require the best quality and to ensure we deliver this we combine traditional methods, including hand finishing every book, with modern materials for durability.

This means that libraries can ensure books, periodicals and documents are kept in working order while also maintaining the unique character of each.

We can even bring tired and worn books back to life through our re-binding and conservation and restoration services, removing damaged spines and covers and replacing them with new ones.

If a book is damaged beyond repair, our digitisation services allow us to scan book covers and internal pages and then re-print them so that they can be used for many years to come.

We also know that time can be of the essence when it comes to library binding, so our production line has been set up for efficiency and a fast turnaround without compromising on quality.

Here at Spink & Thackray we are proud of the relationships we have built with libraries and librarians up and down the country and take immense joy in being able to meet their binding needs.
